Battle – Dog Walking
Battle – Dog Walking – There are so many lovely places to walk doggies in Battle, East Sussex. Powder Mill Lane Wood and Battle Great Wood are our favourite places for dog walking.
Battle itself is a beautiful little town names after the Battle of Hastings in 1066.
Battle Abbey is well worth a visit. There is a really cute high street which has lots of lovely shops and many dog friendly delicious places to eat and drink.
Battle Great Wood
Just off Marley Lane, there is a large free car park. This is our favourite places to walk dogs. There are hardcore paths to walk on so even on the muddiest of days its easy. There are many paths off into the woods which are great to explore.
In spring there are some amazing areas covered with blue bells. Explore some more and you will find little streams and beautiful woodland walks.
You can’t really get lost here, so go out and explore.
This is just off Powermill Lane with free car parking. Its a much smaller car park.
This is a much smaller place to walk your dogs compared to Battle Great Wood.
There are a few streams and walks ways over water. If you have a dog that like to get muddy its not the best place to go. We go here when we have smaller or older dogs who don’t need such a long walk.
