Dungeness Dogs Day Trip

We loved our Dungeness Dogs Day Trip, the only desert in England.
When the sun is out and there is no breeze, Dungeness is an amazing place to go to. Its also best visited outside school holidays.
We pack up the van with lots of fresh drinking water, collect all our clients dogs and head off to Dungeness.

If you have not been before its one of Europe’s largest expanse of shingle. It has a huge variety of wildlife. Over 600 different types of plants. It is very popular with bird watchers.

The dogs love it! They can run around and explore all the different smells and play to their hearts content. Its one of our favourite dog walks. We can walk for miles without seeing anyone.  They dogs running into the water to cool off. We bump into the occasional dog walker or fisherman, but apart from that its empty. There are lots of lovely things to see. The light houses, lot of little houses dotted around, the occasional boat  and the occasional disused industrial contraption. Lots of amazing photo opportunities. After a long days walking, we pack up and head back.

For all your dog walkers who have never been here, put it on the list of places to visit with your pooch. Our top tip is don’t go on a windy day!!!

There is a pub that has lovey food and is dog friendly.
In the summer, on weekends there is a shack that cooks fresh fish which is delicious.
